    Product Description
The name or term "Guardian" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Guardian (disambiguation). The Guardians are a faction from the GoBots continuity family. Get outta here, Transformers! This is OUR wiki now!The peacekeeping force on the then-organic world of Gobotron, the Guardians were forced into a civil war when the rebels known as the Renegades revolted. Long after the population had been converted into cyborg chassis called GoBots to protect their organic brains, and after the original conflict and organic origins of Gobotron had passed into myth, the Guardian Leader-1 would try to seek out the Last Engineer in order to save the life of his friend Turbo, and fight the re-awakened Renegades led by Cy-Kill. New Guardians are trained at the Guardian Academy, which has spawned several close-knit gangs of young bucks, including the Secret Riders and Robo Rebels. The Guardians are allies of UNECOM, the UNited Earth COMmand, on Earth; the goodie Rock Lords of Quartex, led by Boulder; and when they get involved with dimensional hijinks, they ally with the Autobots! Together, they have repulsed many, many overly-complicated schemes devised by Cy-Kill and his Renegades.Contents1 Fiction1.1 Renegade Rhetoric1.2 Timelines1.3 Ask Vector Prime2 Members2.1 Regular GoBots2.2 Demigod Guardians2.3 Drones3 Allies3.1 RoGuns3.2 Humanoids4 References Fiction Renegade RhetoricThe Guardians had just succeeded in putting the Renegade Revolt down, thanks to heroes like Cy-Kill and Leader-1, but Cy-Kill ripped everything wide open again when he decided to restart the Renegades and seize power! Over the years, they had a good many adventures which you should really go check out. At these links! One time, the Guardians had to put on Kafka's Metamorphosis to stop the Renegades' Pirates of Penzance! Renegade Rhetoric (1) Renegade Rhetoric (2)Cy-Kill ended up blasted to Axiom Nexus after a clash with the Guardians, Renegade Rhetoric (2), 2016/01/15 and the Guardians had almost rolled up the Renegades before the villain returned, back up by Cybertronian recruits like Monsterous. Renegade Rhetoric (2), 2015/11/10 TimelinesMany years later in a divergent timeline, the Guardians and Renegades teamed up to save their dimension from the Cataclysm. A cross-faction team of explorers was into the multiverse in order to uncover the cause Withered Hope and, when attempts to hold it back failed, reinforcements were sent. SunriseIn a vision, Small Foot was distraught to see her fellow Guardians falling to a malicious darkness. High Noon Ask Vector PrimeAs Vector Prime guards space and time in his universe(s), so too does Tic Toc guard the Gargents. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/21The Guardians of Gargent 087.0 Kappa mistook the six Autobot Spy Changers of Primax 085.0 Eta to be Renegades. Luckily, Prowl made contact with Leader-1 to explain the truth of the situation, and a secret Spy Changer-Guardian alliance was forged. After Hoist destroyed the Renegade bases which were threatening the Spy Changers' homeworld, the Autobots and Guardians worked together to drive off the Renegades. Optimus Prime and Leader-1 shook hands as a symbol of the transdimensional friendship, and the Spy Changers returned to their home reality. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/30 Later, the Autobots would return the favor: when Earth was sealed under a Renegade Embargo Field, the remaining Guardians Tri-Trak and Nick Burns used the Reality Beacon to call the Autobots for help. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/30When Sideways and Gong tampered with the Omega Locks of both a Gargent reality and a Primax reality, tuning the latter into an 'amalgam' reality, the Guardians first replaced the Autobots of 2005 and then, in the third warp, were in an alliance with the Autobots but with figures like Major Mo in place of Ultra Magnus. As part of his efforts to repair spacetime, Vec-Tor enlisted the aid of the Guardians in the Gargent reality, though unfortunately Sideways was able to outwit them and escape custody. Echoes and Fragments Members Regular GoBots Name Alternate mode Profile Other notes External links Leader-1 F-15 fighter jet Leader-1 is the commander of the heroic Guardians. Once upon a time, he defended Gobotron alongside his old friend Cy-Kill, but a schism tore the two allies apart, forcing Leader-1 to reluctantly take up arms against the evil Renegades. Ever the do-gooder, he's had plenty of adventures on Gobotron, Quartex, and Earth, battling against Cy-Kill's wacky, overly-convoluted evil schemes. In one notable adventure, he temporarily wound up joining the Renegades after losing his memory. On ancient, pre-cataclysm Gobotron, Leader-1 was a humble archivist named Luther Unum. Hmmm.Cartoon profileToy review Scooter Scooter (duh) The smallest and kid-friendliest member of the Guardians, Scooter would much rather tinker with computers than fight the Renegades. Although he has no weapons, his hologram projector lets him create illusions, and he's befriended the UNECOM cadet Nick, who's helped him to overcome some his cowardice. Always timid, he had one particularly scary adventure where he thought he was turning into a Were-GoBot! Another time, he dressed up as Santa Claus and helped distribute Christmas presents. Scooter has a counterpart in Axiom Nexus. He died. Megatron once used a "space scooter" that homaged his alternate mode. Your Fierce TearsCartoon profileToy review Turbo Gobotronic sports car Leader-1's second-in-command, the gruff Turbo is a no-nonsense kind of 'bot... although he'll gladly throw his own life on the line to protect smaller Guardians or innocent lifeforms from Renegade tyranny. Since coming to Earth, he's befriended the UNECOM cadet named A.J. Foster. In one embarrassing incident, he was manipulated by the Renegades into arresting a group of Quartex diplomats. In another escapade, he and Crasher time-traveled to the year 2085, where the GoBots were planning to abandon their old robotic bodies in favor of organic ones. Turbo plays a mean game of basketball.Cartoon profileToy review Path Finder Gobotronic starship A confident Guardian with a space-worthy alternate mode. Path Finder put her capabilities to good use defending a UNECOM outpost on Mercury against a Renegade incursion. She was ultimately overwhelmed by Twin Spin, Pincher, and Blades. One of the "G1 GoBots" released by TakaraTomy.Cartoon profileToy review Man-O-War Iowa-class Battleship Hovercraft (Transformer disguise) Man-O-War is a legendary veteran and one of the earliest Guardians to sign up, rising up the ranks fast out of necessity. He's also a total dick. Treds was in his platoon and routinely berated for 'slacking'. His Cybertronian form is based on a prototype of Seaspray.Toy profileCartoon profile Rest-Q Ambulance As the Guardian's main medic, Rest-Q was dispatched to Earth after Leader-1 was critically injured and in a coma. He helped transmit some of Leader-1's dreams onto the screen, where Rest-Q and the other Guardians offered a running commentary on past events.Cartoon profileToy review Road Ranger Articulated truck Road Ranger is good friends with Small Foot. He took part in a notable battle against the Renegade combiner Monsterous, using a Power Suit to form Courageous. One of the "G1 GoBots" released by TakaraTomy. Cartoon profileToy review Small Foot Toyota Hilux Small Foot is a cheerful idealist. Her inquisitive attitude and can-do spirit has helped her through all sorts of predicaments. Notably, she and several other female Go-Bots took part in a contest on the planet Athena, where she raced against Crasher. On another mission to New Earth, she was turned into a human along with a group of Guardians and Renegades. One of the "G1 GoBots" released by TakaraTomy.Cartoon profileToy review Treds M1 Abrams Along with some other Guardians, Treds competed in a high-stakes game of basketball against the Renegades. Treds and the others managed to best Cy-Kill's crooked game, thanks to the coaching of the Harlem Globetrotters. One of the "G1 GoBots" released by TakaraTomy. Cartoon profile Toy review Ace P-51 Mustang In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, Ace and some other Guardians battled against Optimus Prime and his team of dimension-hopping Spy Changers, assuming them to be Renegades. The Guardians had the upper hand until Cy-Kill intervened, forcing Ace and the others to retreat. Cartoon profile Toy review Apollo Saturn V rocket Apollo was one of a six-bot crew returning to Gobotron after a lengthy scouting expedition, one launched shortly after the Gobot conversion process was implemented. Scorp and Crain Brain, flying in Space Hawk interceptors, observed them. Cy-Kill subsequently captured all of the crew except Apollo, who escaped to warn the Guardians. Apollo returned with Leader-1's team to rescue the scouts, but Vain Train and Decker Decker chose to defect.Apollo is implied to be a repurpose of a Machine Robo toy that never made it into the GoBots line, as are the rest of the colonists.Toy review Beamer BMW M1 Beamer is a recent graduate of the Guardian Academy. He participated in an important attack on the Renegade flagship, Rogue Star, but retreated after Cy-Kill and a large number of new Renegade recruits returned from another dimension to turned the tide. Beamer, Sky Fly, and Guide Star were attacked by Odd Ball, Breez, and Pow Wow and eventually forced to flee. Beamer, Sky Fly, Guide Star, Odd Ball, Breez, and Pow Wow are the six Wendy's-exclusive GoBots toys. Beamer at TFU.info Bent Wing Chance Vought F4U CorsairBent Wing is a rebellious young Guardian who studied at the Academy under Major Mo. Although her unit was framed by Bladez and the Master Renegade, the "Robo Rebels" were able to clear their name and graduate with distinction. After an attack on Gobotron's scientific moon, the Robo Rebels temporarily developed a bitter rivalry with the Guardian Secret Riders.Though she had a toy, Bent Wing did not appear in the Challenge of the GoBots cartoon. She appears only in stories from "Renegade Rhetoric."Toy review Blaster M33 Missile tank Blaster, along with Hans-Cuff and Flip Top, attempted to prevent a Cy-Kill from escaping Gobotron's prison moon. They failed. Along with several other Guardians and Renegades, he was taken prisoner by alien Overseers, but managed to escape. In the 'amalgam' universe, Blaster took the place of Blaster, because of course he did. Blaster's failure to keep Cy-Kill incarcerated is lifted from the Challenge of the Gobots five-parter, "The Gobotron Saga".Cartoon profileToy review Bolt Lockheed P-38 Lightning In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, Bolt and some other Guardians battled against Optimus Prime and his team of dimension-hopping Spy Changers, assuming them to be Renegades. The Guardians had the upper hand until Cy-Kill intervened, forcing the Guardians into a retreat.Cartoon profile Toy review Bullet Series-0 Shinkansen train Bullet is the older brother of Vain Train and picked on him. The two were on a lengthy scouting expedition soon after the GoBots were created and were captured by Renegades when they came home. Before they were rescued, Cy-Kill evilly used a mind control device to exacerbate Bullet's tendency to belittle Vain Train, which made his bro go Renegade! Bullet and his chums are implied to be repurposed Machine Robo toys which never made it into the GoBots line. His sibling rivalry is a nod to the Trainbots Shouki and Yukikaze, with Bullet being Shouki. Shinkansen Robo toy profile Bullseye B-1 Lancer Bullseye, serving on Command Center 6, eventually captured Cy-Kill near Galleon... not knowing the villain was taking a dive! Later, during a battle with Renegade clones, Bullseye ironically freed Cy-Kill from a cell before being shot down by the clone Cy-Kill Prime. In the cartoon, Bullseye is historically important: the one man in Cy-Kill's Guardian team that didn't go Renegade and instead warned the Guardian Council. His first "Renegade Rhetoric" story fills in the gap between the Challenge 5-part pilot and "The Gobotron Saga". Toy profileCartoon profile Courageous Combiner Courageous is the Last Engineer's newest creation, a Power Warrior formed of four Guardians in Power Suits and his own spaceship (also called Courageous). It served as a recurring trump card for the Guardians! An irked Cy-Kill would try to create his own combiners to match it, with two incarnations of Puzzler, the knock-offs Grungy and Nemesis, and Monsterous; this would eventually culminate in the Combiner Wars on Quartex, with Courageous and Fossilsaurus proving a winning team! In the 'amalgam' timeline, Courageous replaced the Dinobots in engaging Devastator at Autobot City. Any four Guardians can use the Power Suits. The Renegades' Grungy is a redeco of Courageous.Cartoon profile Toy info Dart Honda VF1000R Dart is just like Winston Churchill, in that he's ratted and reratted: he was once a Guardian, then was the first man with Fitor to join Cy-Kill's new Renegades, then rejoined the Guardians after a bad experience with Gunnyr.Cartoon profileToy profile Defendor Alvis Saladin Mk.II Defendor was part of a team of Guardians who were abducted by the ancient Guerr-O-Vac super-computer and pitted in ritual combat against abducted Renegades. He narrowly lost to Destroyer in the Arena of Strife. In Gargent 186.0 Gamma, Defendor and Van Guard were guards of the Omega Locks of Old Gobotron.Toy profileCartoon profile Dive-Dive Los Angeles class nuclear submarine (ooer!) Dive-Dive's alternate mode is utterly useless on Gobotron, but on Earth he serves as a talented underwater specialist. Without Dive-Dive, Earth might never have stood a chance against a rebellion of sentient cetaceans. Another time, he helped the Guardians against the evil pirate Greenbeard and his Renegade allies. His toy has the same pennant number (723) as the USS Oklahoma Bay. Toy profileCartoon profile Dozer Bulldozer (obviously) Dozer served on Command Center 14 when Cy-Kill's Thruster was found off Galleon. Command Center 14 was blown up and Dozer also blown up, by booby trap, taking Cy-Kill in (and he'd wanted to be locked up for a scheme anyway!).His "Renegade Rhetoric" story fills in the gap between the Challenge 5-part pilot and "The Gobotron Saga".Toy profileCartoon profile Dumper Dump truck Dumper (huh huh) served on Command Center 14 when Cy-Kill's Thruster was found off Galleon. Command Center 14 was blown up and Dumper injured by a booby trap when he and Dozer cornered Cy-Kill.His "Renegade Rhetoric" story fills in the gap between the Challenge 5-part pilot and "The Gobotron Saga". In the cartoon, Dumper appeared briefly and got no lines at all.Toy profileCartoon profile Flip Top Kaman SH-2 Seasprite Flip Top once guarded Cy-Kill's cell and pretty much failed at it. In Small Foot's vision of GoBots suffering at Unicron's hands, Flip Top was among them. His Cybertronian-style body in the art of "High Noon" is based on Combiner Wars Alpha Bravo. Toy profile Cartoon profile Good Knight Excalibur Roadster Good Knight is a great pun. In Strata 22, he helped battle dimension-hopping Autobot Spy Changers out of the mistaken belief they were Decepticons. Silverstreak was captured but it all turned out grand.Toy profile Cartoon profile Guide Star Space shuttle Guide Star had recently graduated Guardian Academy when he was dispatched to the final battle on the Cy-Kill-less Renegades of the Rogue Star. When Cy-Kill returned, Guide Star and his colleagues fought new Mini-Con Renegades. Guide Star, his fellow recruits, and the Mini-Cons are all Wendy-exclusive GoBots toys. Toy profile Hans-Cuff Toyota Crown Patrol Car Hans-Cuff is a top cop and security guard, who has achieved the following great things: he once failed to stop Cy-Kill escaping jail, he was conned into arresting the framed Robo Rebels, he arrested the framed Rock Lords too, and a version of him in Strata 22 thought Autobot visitors were baddies and fought and arrested Silverstreak. Maybe he should stop.Failing to stop Cy-Kill happened in "The Gobotron Saga". His Cybertronian-style body in the "High Noon" art is based on Combiner Wars Streetwise.Toy profileCartoon profile Heat Seeker General Dynamics F-16 Falcon In Strata 22, Heat Seeker helped battle dimension-hopping Autobot Spy Changers out of the mistaken belief they were Renegades. He helped capture Silverstreak. In Gargent 186.0 Gamma, Heat Seeker was part of a shift change to guard the dimension-hopping scoundrel Sideways, but unfortunately, Sideways tricked him and Street Heat to escape. In the cartoon, he was a veteran of the first Renegade Revolt. Toy profileCartoon profile Hi-Way A bus, we think??? Hi-Way was the haughty captain of a scouting expedition, soon after the GoBot process was invented. On return home, he and the crew were captured. Crewman Decker Decker blamed Hi-Way for this; Cy-Kill thus used his mind-control powers to increase Hi-Way's haughtiness, driving Decker Decker to join the Renegades. Hi-Way later helped retake his ship.He and his men are repurposed Machine Robo toys that never made it into GoBots,Highway Robo toy review Jack Attack Mini Cooper 1300S with Union Jack deco Jack Attack was one of a six-bot scouting expedition launched shortly after the GoBot conversion process was implemented. On return home, he and the crew were kidnapped by Cy-Kill; Jack was one of the three that didn't join the Renegades. He and his chums are implied to be repurposed Machine Robo toys that never made it into the GoBots line. He's in the self preservation society.Mini Cooper Robo toy review Mach-3 McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II Mach-3 served on Command Center 14. When they engaged Cy-Kill off the orbit of Galleon, Mach-3 was injured when he attempted to personally dogfight the villain's vessel.Toy infoCartoon profile Major Mo Nissan 300ZX Major Mo is an experienced soldier and mentor for the young 'uns; he tutored the "Robo Rebel" kids and exonerated them when they foiled a dastardly Renegade plot. In timelines where Leader-1 is out of the picture, Mo tends to lead: he was the rebel leader in an alternate timeline where Leader-1 never became the Guardian leader and commanded the Autobot-Guardian forces after Leader-1's death in the 'amalgam' timeline. He was absent from the Challenge cartoon and had his first fiction from Fun Pub Facebooks. Toy profile Motosan / Mr. Moto Honda ATC 200 Motosan helped Leader-1 stop Cy-Kill from abducting and brainwashing the candidates at a presidential debate. His toy is called Mr. Moto but the animation model was named "Moto-San". He never got named in his one cartoon appearance, but now he has been! Toy profileCartoon profile Night Ranger Harley-Davison Electra Glide Night Ranger was guarding the Space Hawk prototype, so the Renegades beat 'im up. The canceled movie toy Backtrack was to have been a Night Ranger homage. Toy profileCartoon profile Pumper Fire engine Pumper served on Command Center 6 and thus engaged Cy-Kill's Thruster off Galleon. He and his comrades eventually captured the villain but it was all a con by Cy-Kill! This tale explains how Cy-Kill was captured between the Challenge of the Gobots 5-part pilot and "The Gobotron Saga".In a GoBots kiddie book, he's a detective and Dumper's brother! Toy profile Raizor VTOL-modified McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom Member of the Robo Rebels. Raizor, Matt Hunter, and Turbo were fans of alien invasion film Bastille Day and attended New York's SciFi Con; Raizor cosplayed as a man with a chainsaw for a hand. This meant he witnessed Doctor Faraji being captured by Renegades and alerted Leader-1 about it. No real Phantom had VTOL capabilities. Toy profile Royal-T Hawker-Siddeley Harrier GR3/Sea Harrier jet Royal-T failed to stop Cy-Kill escaping from Elba when the villain temporarily mind-zapped them to be Renegade-friendly. In Strata 22, Royal-T helped battle dimension-hopping Autobot Spy Changers out of the mistaken belief they were Decepticons. He helped capture Silverstreak. Harriers had been recently used by the Royal Air Force in the Falklands, hence his alt mode and name.Royal-T appears as a Renegade in "Flight to Earth". A defector to the Guardians or animation gaff? YOU decide!Toy profileCartoon profile Scratch Ford Bronco Scratch guarded a Space Hawk prototype with Night Ranger and was duly beaten by Renegades.Toy profileCartoon profile Sky Fly Vague and generic jet Sky Fly is a recent graduate of the Guardian Academy. He participated in an important attack on the Renegade flagship, Rogue Star, but retreated after Cy-Kill returned from another dimension to turned the tide. Sky Fly and his Academy chums Beamer and Guide Star fought the Mini-Con Renegades Odd Ball, Breez, and Pow Wow. Sky Fly, his friends, and his foes are the six Wendy's-exclusive GoBots toys. Sky Flyer (sic) toy profile Sparky Pontiac Fiero Sparky once guarded Cy-Kill's cell. In more prominent adventures, she was one of the competitors in the Alienapolis Five Million. When the Renegades infected Earth with Go-Vines, Sparky and Small Foot sneaked onto a Thruster and salvaged a seed that could be reverse engineered. Toy profileCartoon profile Spay-C Rockwell Orbiter space shuttle She failed to stop Sky-Jack stealing an Earth satellite. Boo! Other "Big" versions of Machine Robo toys were made into new characters but Big Shuttle Robo became a new Spay-C toy instead. The cartoon shows her as fighting the first Renegade Revolt too. Regular and Super toy profilesCartoon profile Spy-Eye RAF Panavia Tornado GR1 Cy-Kill let Spy-Eye spot a captive Doctor Anya Turgenova being transferred to the Renegades' Moon base, so the Guardians would be lured into a trap. Spy-Eye duly alerted his fellows and off they went!Spy-Eye's name was reused for a BotCon Diaclone guy.The RAF called their Tornados.... the "Tonka".[1]Toy profile Staks Peterbilt 352H Staks is an active Guardian, with adventures including guarding a mining outpost, helping to defend a UNECOM facility where Scooter was testing a new device, and forming Courageous to fight Devastator in the 'amalgam' world. Despite that, Cy-Kill confuses him with a Secret Riders member. When having a nightmare about a dark threat, the Small Foot of Gargent 984.08 Alpha saw Staks suffering.Cy-Kill's confusion is a nod to a gaff: Staks appeared as a new recruit with the Riders in an episode of Challenge of the GoBots, after having already appeared as an established Guardian before. Staks's headless Cybertronian-style body in "High Noon" is based on Combiner Wars Optimus Prime.Toy profileCartoon profile Steamer Steam roller Steamer defected to the Guardians after being unwilling to execute a captured Sparky. Cy-Kill considers this lacking in spirit and used his defection to further a scheme! Despite that, he still cited Steamer as an example of how GoBots have more varied alt-modes than Transformers. A rare cartoon-only GoBot! Profile Street Heat Camaro Z28 Street Heat failed to keep Cy-Kill imprisoned on Elba when the villain used his mental powers to temporarily sway Street to the Renegade cause. He later raced in the Alienapolis Five Million but was knocked out of the race by Renegade booby traps. Toy profileCartoon profile Super Couper Ford Coupe Member of the Robo Rebels. Super Couper was part of a diversionary attack on the Renegade moonbase and was rammed by Fly Trap during it. His lights are gonna find you, shining like the sun. Toy profile Tail Pipe Skyline 2000 RS Turbo Member of the Robo Rebels. While the Renegades were looking at Super Couper up there, Tail Pipe and Scooter were sneaking into their base and rescuing Dr. Turgenova! Toy profile Throttle BMW KS 1000 RS Cy-Kill isn't entirely sure if Throttle was one of the Secret Riders. He's definitely sure Throttle thwarted one of his schemes, when the Guardian befriended the Martian prince Losa, son of Bars Barkas, and thus caused the Barkhon clan to drop their alliance with the Renegades. Throttle's toy wasn't marketed as a Secret Rider but he fought alongside them in the ep "Quest for New Earth", hence his 'maybe' status.Toy profile Cartoon profile Tic Toc Watch Tic Toc is the Gargent Cluster's Guardian of Time and Space! And he's bloody smug about it. Vector Prime and the Time Warriors teamed up with him to stop the villainous Time Limit and trick him into limbo. Though Vector Prime was initially put off by Tic Toc's vanity, he came to appreciate the fellow and hoped he did well against his Renegade counterpart, Gong. His status as a super-powerful time guy follows on from the Kronoform watches being turned into time/space travellers. Tic Toc (and Gong) at Neo-Monzopolis Tork Ford Ranger At the Guardian Academy, Tork and his chums, the Secret Riders, somehow deduced that fellow cadets Traitor, Re-Volt, and Chaos were really infiltrating Renegades! He'd save Zeemon and, on Mars, help swing the local Barkhon clan towards the Guardians. Voice actor Philip L. Clarke also appeared in several Transformers roles.Toy reviewCartoon profile Tri-Trak Honda ATC 200 At the Guardian Academy, Tri-Trak was head of the Secret Riders; they somehow deduced that fellow cadets Traitor, Re-Volt, and Chaos were really infiltrating Renegades! In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, Tri-Trak and Nick Burns were stranded on Earth when the Renegades sealed the planet behind an Embargo Field; Tri-Trak and Burns used the Reality Beacon to contact their Autobot allies in Primax 085.0 Eta for help! He helped them take down the field's generator at the Eiffel Tower. In the 'amalgam' verse, impulsive youth Tri-Trak replaced impulsive youth Hot Rod! He couldn't bear the guilt of helping to kill Leader-1, and left his deathbed early.Toy profile Cartoon profile Twister Helicopter Twister was one of the Secret Riders with Tri-Trak and Tork. Only T's allowed. You can't be one. In Gargent 186.0 Gamma, Twister was assigned by Vec-Tor to guard Sideways, but unfortunately Sideways tricked him and Heat Seeker to escape.Cartoon profileToy profile Van Guard Dodge Caravan Van Guard was kidnapped by a hyper-evolved intelligence which pitted abducted Guardians and Renegades in ritualized combat. Van Guard faced off against Slicks and lost. In Gargent 186.0 Gamma, Van Guard and Defendor were guards of the Omega Locks of Old Gobotron.Toy profileCartoon profile Von Joy Porsche 930T Von Joy is a professor and also a baron! As the Guardian's scientific expert, he created a defoliant for the sinister Go-Vines, created the Ro-Guns Scope and Shotgun, and had a bunch of his weapons pinched by Cy-Kill. Baron Von Joy's on Gobotron was the seventeenth venue for the Knights of Unicron 2014 tour. Baron Von Joy toy profileProf Von Joy cartoon profile Wrong Way Hughes AH-64 Apache In Strata 22, Wrong Way helped battle dimension-hopping Autobot Spy Changers out of the mistaken belief they were Decepticons. Cy-Kill dispatched the Dread Launchers to kidnap the statesman, only to be foiled by the Secret Riders (and Cop-Tur's bumbling). Zeemon was the inspiration for Zeemon Magnus.Cartoon profilereview Demigod Guardians Name Alternate mode Profile Other notes External links Vec-Tor Gobotic space ship The guardian of space and time and the Gargent incarnation of the ancient Transformer Vector Prime. Vec-Tor made an appearance at the Ingot Amphitheater on Quartex during the signing of the three-way treaty between humankind, the GoBots, and the Rock Lords. Prior to the descent of the Shroud, (various versions of) Vec-Tor was a Gargent Cluster native, born a GoBeing but also part of the Vector Prime multiversal singularity. Following the descent of the Shroud, the various versions of Vec-Tor presumably lost their transdimensional nature and became native to the Gargent Cluster. Tic-Toc Watch A time-and-space traveling Guardian temporal enforcer who is archrivals with the Renegade trickster Gong. He once helped Vector Prime and the Time Warriors fight the dimension hopper Time Limit. Vector considers him vain but hopes he fares well against Gong. He appears only in "Ask Vector Prime". His status as a super-powerful time guy follows on from the Kronoform watches being turned into time/space travelers.Toy Drones Name Alternate mode Profile Other notes External links Rumble Wheeled ground vehicle The Guardians' model of Boomer drone. Has more durability but less firepower than the Renegades' Blast model. Toy Hitch Hiker None One of the models of Power Marcher used by the Guardians, having a humanoid form. The toy was licensed by Tonka from another Japanese toyline named WalkingRobo. Toy Ridge Runner None The other model of Power Marcher used by the Guardians. The planned toy was canceled. Allies RoGunsWhen Crasher groused that they were always outgunned, Cy-Kill had a brilliant idea: get Dr. Go to make handheld guns that turn into small robots! Why he gave them free will in the first place is quite beyond me.The RoGuns quickly tired of being weapons and were freed by Scooter, Major Mo, and A.J., with the former able to understand the RoGuns' annoying bleeps. The three happily joined the Guardians. Professor Von Joy would later create two new RoGuns with extra language skills, Scope and Shotgun, and the clan helped the Secret Riders liberate the Martian clans from the Renegades. The clan then traveled to Quartex, where they helped the heroic Rock Lords defeat their enemies and delved further into the mysteries of that planet.Pistol: fires explosive shellsRifle: fires a powerful heat beamScopeShotgunSquirt: fires liquid chemicalsThe RoGuns are a very late fictional version of the transforming cap guns by Arco, who licensed the GoBots name. They were Cap Pistol, Cap Rifle, Robo Scope, Rogun (the crew namer), and Squirt Gun. "Renegade Rhetoric" was good to many forgotten toys. Humanoids Name Role Profile Other notes External linksThe Last EngineerScientistWhen a passing meteorite impacted ancient Gobotron, the Last Engineer devised the Gobot upgrade as a way to survive the rapid climate change, which would transfer organic GoBeing brains into robotic bodies. Ultimately, however, his nemesis the Master Renegade took advantage of this newfound power, and plunged the devastated world into a civil war. After augmenting his own body with cybernetic implants, the Last Engineer went into hibernation until the present day. He invented the Courageous upgrade but eventually emigrated to the human colony world of New Earth, where he lived happily for a while (barring an unfortunate incident where the Master Renegade turned him into a parrot).Cartoon profile Nick BurnsUNECOM Cadet That whacky scamp keeps getting into adventures with his pals, the Guardians! During the Alienapolis Five Million, Nick and his chum Scooter discovered that the Renegades were cheating! That got the Renegades disqualified! In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, Nick and Tri-Trak were stuck on Earth when the Renegades sealed it off under an Embargo field, uh oh! Luckily they summoned their pan-dimensional pals the Autobots to help save the day! Cy-Kill hates him. In the pilot, he was a NASA cadet.Character profileAllison Janmoria "A.J." FosterUNECOM CadetA.J. is an ally of UNECOM and the GoBots. When Cy-Kill ran for President of the United States, A.J. was disguised as a rival candidate to draw out his forces. She's responsible for freeing the enslaved RoGuns, after she, Major Mo, and Scooter were accidentally taken by the Renegades to the Rogue Star. In Gargent 087.0 Kappa, a captive Spy Changer Silverstreak, who was in fact an Autobot was able to convince her that he was an Autobot and not a Renegade. In the pilot, she was also a NASA cadet.Character profile Matt HunterUNECOM PilotMatt Hunter is a big fan of the alien invasion film Bastille Day and cosplayed as Boba Fett at the New York SciFi Con. While there, he and Raizor saw Doctor Faraji get abducted and alerted the Guardians! When Cy-Kill ran for President of the United States, Matt was disguised as a rival candidate to draw out his forces. In the pilot, he was a pilot for NASA.Cartoon profile Newcastle UNECOM commander General Newcastle leads the United Earth Command against the Renegades. Cy-Kill is not a fan. In the pilot, he was a commander of the North American space agency that famously raced the Soviet space programme to the moon. Cartoon profile Dr. Anya TurgenovaScientist, USSR liaisonDoctor Anya Turgenova makes science that Renegades love stealing! Cy-Kill stole her sorium to hypnotise all of Earth. Later, she was the Soviet Union's coordinator in UNECOM's Space Hawk project and was abducted by BuggyMan to have her knowledge extracted. The Renegades also used her as bait in a trap but she was successfully rescued.Cartoon profile References↑ FlightGlobal: "Bonkers Tonkas: UK sets Tornado retirement date": "For anyone unfamiliar with the swing-wing beauty, it has the UK nickname “Tonka” – don’t ask me why though!"Retrieved from "http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/index.php?title=Guardian_(GoBots)&oldid=1186094" Categories: FactionsGuardians
