    Product Description
This article is about the Primus-created guardian. For the issue of the Marvel Comics in which he debuted, see The Last Autobot? For a list of other meanings, see Last Autobot (disambiguation). Jim "Justice" Hellwig, Dingo Warrior, Blade Runner Rock. He had many names. There are Decepticon legends of an "Ultimate Warrior" and tales of the "Soul of Cybertron". These are merely corrupted myths based on the truth—The Last Autobot! The Last Autobot is a guardian that Primus prepared, against the day that he would no longer be able to guide his creations. A stoic being, the Last Autobot awaits his destiny. The title sometimes belongs to the member of the Thirteen known as Autonomous Maximus.Contents1 Fiction1.1 Marvel Comics continuity1.1.1 Marvel The Transformers comics1.1.2 Classics1.1.3 Regeneration One1.2 Fun Publications1.3 Beast Wars: Uprising2 Notes3 References Fiction Marvel Comics continuity Marvel The Transformers comics Billions of years ago, before going into his eon-long slumber, Primus prepared a Transformer called the Last Autobot. He gave the Last Autobot a measure of his power and set him to wait for the "chosen one."After Primus's death, Cybertron appeared to be tearing itself apart and the Transformers abandoned their home world. The only remaining Transformer was Optimus Prime, whose soul was in the body of Hi-Q.Prime traveled, along with the Neo-Knights, into the depths of Cybertron where he discovered the Last Autobot. The Last Autobot? Upon awakening, Last Autobot was surprised to find the form that the chosen one had taken, but soon realized the true nature of the warrior before him. The Last Autobot merged the two souls and rebuilt Optimus Prime into a new body. He then revealed that Cybertron wasn't tearing itself apart, but merely reformatting itself. The Last Autobot stabilized and guided the process, allowing Cybertron to be safely reborn.Afterwards, the Last Autobot traveled with Prime and the Neo Knights to the planet Klo, finding the Autobot army having already been slaughtered by the Decepticons there. The Last Autobot assisted in the Autobots' counter-strike—not actively, but by resurrecting all the Autobots who had fallen while Optimus barreled through the enemy soldiers. Finally, the Autobots (and presumably the Last Autobot) returned to Cybertron, while the Decepticons exiled themselves to deep space. End of the Road! Classics "I shall call him...Mini-You."Classics continues from the Marvel US series, and does not include the UK stories or any subsequently published stories. The Last Autobot created Modus Prime and the Mini-Cons to cleanse Cybertron of Demons and Mutants before the Autobots returned. The New WorldAfter his return to Cybertron, Optimus Prime spent deca-cycles communing with the Last Autobot in his orbital watchtower. What the two legendary figures discussed in this time was a mystery to all others. Because "BOOM" wasn't subtle enough. For the next 21 years, the Last Autobot helped shape and steward a new age of peaceful coexistence on a revitalized Cybertron. Watching over Iacon from on high, he remained an enigmatic but potent figure of authority. So naturally when the Decepticons started causing trouble again, they had to deal with him first—as Soundwave hacked into the orbital defense grid and used one of the anti-asteroid satellite cannons to target and destroy the Last Autobot. Counterpoint Soundwave's assault on the Last Autobot was later recounted by the Anti-Matrix entity, who had been subtly manipulating Soundwave's behavior to reach this outcome. The War to End All Wars, Part 5 Fun Publications Autonomous Maximus was a member of the Thirteen. Vector Prime described him as a "lonely sentinel". At some point, Autonomous Maximus renounced his name. According to Vector Prime, the now-nameless Cybertronian took up a solitary vigil, awaiting "the inevitable". Ask Vector Prime, 2015/06/14In some universal streams, he, along with the others of the Thirteen, visited ancient Greece and adopted the personae of gods using holomatter avatars. He assumed the form of Apollo, the healer. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/08/01As Nexus Prime brought together the Terminus Blade and the Star Saber, his fellow Thirteen including the Last Autobot were drawn to his actions. These multiversal singularities were splintered and scattered by the act, making them into repeating parallel, but variable, versions of themselves throughout the multiverse instead of the singular beings they were before. Out of the One, Many Beast Wars: UprisingIn the late 24th century, Apollo was known for his harp. The Inexorable March Notes You might find that the Last Autobot's face looks familiar. Can you guess why? That's right, he looks a lot like the Autobot symbol! Despite Primus being "neutral" in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons, the Last Autobot is pretty blatantly an Autobot—most likely because he was created eons before the Decepticon movement began and all of Cybertron's inhabitants were Autobots. Simon Furman meant to do more with the quest for the Last Autobot, but the cancellation put paid to that. He stated at OTFCC 2004 that he re-used some of his ideas in some of the War Within stories[1] Vector Prime's design mirrors the Last Autobot in some ways, including their similar alternate modes and their Autobot symbol-inspired faces. Both also directly serve Primus. In addition, Vector Prime claims to have been called "The First Autobot" at one point in his life.[2] References↑ [1]: "Some of [Furman's] old Last Autobot ideas found their way into War Within stories. The Fallen, apparently, was part of this."↑ Ask Vector Prime, 11 September 2015: "Come to think of it, in many timelines, I was not called "Vector Prime" but "The First Autobot." Indeed, this was from time-to-time shortened to simply "Autobot," though usually as an invective hurled at me."The ThirteenMainstream multiversePrimaLiege MaximoMegatronus (The Fallen)Vector PrimeLogos PrimeNexus PrimeOnyx PrimeSolus PrimeAlchemist PrimeEpistemusSolomusAutonomous Maximus (The Last Autobot)Micronus PrimeAligned/IDW G1PrimaVector PrimeAlpha Trion (Aligned / IDW G1)Solus PrimeMicronus PrimeAlchemist PrimeNexus PrimeOnyx PrimeAmalgamous PrimeQuintus PrimeLiege MaximoMegatronus (The Fallen)Optimus Prime / The ArisenRetrieved from "http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/index.php?title=Last_Autobot&oldid=1233918" Categories: Classics AutobotsComic-only AutobotsMarvel Generation 1 AutobotsPrimusRegeneration One AutobotsThirteen
